When we consider some of the best cigars made in the last 40 years, The Name Fuente will pop up. Fuente Cigars have been by far the most sought after Cigars in the industry. The Opus X Cigar released once a year, (usually around the holiday season) is the Brick and Mortar’s holy grail.
These cigars are made from some of the rarest and aged tobacco on the planet. My parents have had a place in Bonao since the early 90’s in the Dominican Republic. Its about 10 mins away from Chateau Fuente so its made it easy to pop up when invited. I’m talking beautiful fields with custom Opus X flower arrangements spread across acres of land.
Special rollers area and aging room specifically for Opus X. A Bible that adorns the most beautiful aging room which stores some seriously rare stuff. Carlito Fuente Jr. has enhanced an empire through one of a kind product and philanthropy. The Fuente family does a ton to give back not just with their money but with their time. I mean what other Cigar Family has built schools in the Dominican Republic for children? Conduct events and donate the proceeds to St. Judes Children’s Hospital? All Class.
In this episode we talk about vitolas vs. Sizes, how they can burn differently, cigar beetles, Chateau Fuente, Rare Fuente Cigars and Zona Franca.
