A few years back my brother Evan who shall be referred to as Ice and I went to Cuba for a week. This was a trip to recalibrate and enjoy the beauty of Cuba. We stayed in La Habana and would take taxis where ever we wanted to go. The Airbnb owners let us know that the same driver that scooped us up from the airport, could drive us anywhere in the country (for a fee). Ice and I planned a day trip to Viñales and off we went the next day. I took my backpack full of cigars and the driver said he knew people in the tobacco field, off we went. I rode horse in the Valley while Ice who’s allergic to Horses hiked behind the group. Once there I got to speak with and trade cigars with Cuban growers and there was an aspect of knowledge exchange. Definitely had to drill before I could get an actual conversation. The cigar Amon and I smoke is from this trip. Very rustic, corona size with very little frills.
In this episode we talk about Juan’s trip to Cuba, air flow through a cigar, smoking channels and Cuban experiences.
